Helga Storck is one of the most renowned harpists in Germany. Born in Silesia, she studied in Germany and then completed her musical training with Marcel Grandjany at the New York Julliard School. Her international performing career has included celebrated chamber music collaborations - most famously, with her husband, the cellist Klaus Storck, but also with many other distinguished ensembles; numerous recordings; and the position of Principal Harp for the WDR Radio Orchester, Cologne; Hamburg Opera; and the Munich Philharmonic.As a professor, she has been for over twenty years Professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, and has recently been appointed Professor at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg.
