Résident au travailCÉCI offers writing and creative periods of residence at the Moulin spread over two sessions of six months. Periods of residence at the Moulin d’Andé – CÉCI (maximum duration two months) are awarded to scriptwriters, dialogue writers, writer filmmakers, writers, musicians or researchers working within film and audiovisual disciplines. Applications by candidates must be submitted in French, together with their provisional writing proposal and the completed project. CÉCI is open to foreign candidates who must possess adequate knowledge of French. Support is available for writers in developing their projects.

When presenting their writing proposal, candidates must show proof of professional experience in the cinematographic arts, referring to films and videos made, articles published, etc. Applications are examined by a committee convened by the Centre for Film Writing of the Moulin d’Andé. The committee may ask to interview candidates before accepting their application.

A panel of experts in the disciplines of script-writing, participates in the work of each resident according to a mutually agreed plan. Residents may request selective consultations with professionals from the cinema or other artistic disciplines. Residents must stay at the moulin for one continuous period. If they wish to spread their time over more than one visit, they should specify this at the time of application.
